I've not done as well as I'd hoped this season going to other ballparks in other cities. I kinda had a vague plan to try and see Diablos road games, but prior to my trip to Oaxaca last week, the only place I'd been was Puebla. But, I have a friend in Oaxaca, so took the six-hour bus ride and saw the whole of the series. The Gerreros took two out of three, which, frankly, had the bullpen shown some robustness and some two-outs-with-runners-in-scoring-position hits, would've been a Diablos sweep.

Estadio Eduardo Vasconcelos is a nice wee place. Built in 1950, it was renovated in 2008. Aside from the fancy new roof over the seats behind the infield, the park still looks like it must've back in the fifties. And it's pretty cool. Pale blue concrete with red seats, and a lovely stained glass window on the side of the building. Part of that window is visible from the gents toilets. I went in there several times hoping to find the bathroom empty so I could take a photograph. Taking photos in the toilets is something I was rightly not too happy to be found doing.

Anyway, here's some photos.
