The sound of defeat

with 8 comments

The casual dropping of bottles.
The mutterings of “sheisse…”
The nur-nur of police vans briskly moving around the city.
The silent traipsing of friends.
The occasional defiant “Deutschland!”

Forza Italia!

  1. [120:14] Alessandro Del Piero scores a goal, assisted by Alberto Gilardino; celebrates by running around. The score is now 0-2.

    Talk about insult to injury.

  7. Man, the Germans looked SO SAD. Weepy, even. You could tell the slack had gone out of them, when Italia was able to nail a SECOND GOAL. Talk about salt in the wound.

    Poor Germans.
