P.S.
I’m not sure that this is a good analogy, but y’know when you split up with your girl/boyfriend just before their birthday, and you’ve already bought them a present, so you give it to them anyway? Well, I’ve already made a December Mix, so I thought I’d put it up for you if you want it.
A-ha “Hunting High and Low”
The Lemonheads “The Outdoor Type”
Madness “Michael Caine”
Josh Rouse “Streetlights”
Virginia Astley “A Summer Long Since Passed”
Randy Newman “Marie”
Regina Spektor “Ghost of Corporate Future”
Ryuichi Sakamoto and David Sylvian “Forbidden Colours”
Pet Shop Boys “Home and Dry”
Prefab Sprout “If You Don’t Love Me”
The Beautiful South “Prettiest Eyes”
The Crystals “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town”
Thanks ever so much for all the nice comments in the previous post. They were greatly appreciated.
Not sure about the boyfriend/girlfriend analogy, I’d prefer to think of it as the encore after a truly great gig.
Cheers beardy-man.

I know what you mean. The then soon-to-be-Ex gave me a handful of CDs for my birthday and I am still very happy that he did so anyway. Otherwise there would have been no Stuart Staples in my life and that would have been truly awful. So there was a bit of good in the break up. Let’s hope this is true for the split up between you and your audience as well.

the outdoor type *has* to be one of the greatest, and funniest, songs ever written.
