3,220: Mauerpark paintings 12, 13, and 14

without comments

Mauerpark Nr. 12 and Nr. 13, both acrylic on paper, both about 50 cm square more or less. Maurpark Nr. 14 is also acrylic on paper, but it’s 24 x 17 cm.

All my other Mauerpark paintings here.

Other business
I saw a doctor the other day. I have no German health insurance or travel insurance. The doctor was friendly and chatty. After doing the business, I was about to pay at the reception, and the doctor walked by and said “It’s nothing! German-Great Britain friendship!” I smiled, he smiled. Fuck you, Leave voters.

3,219: I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)

without comments

I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me) by George Michael and Aretha Franklin was number one in the UK thirty years ago. Aside from the parenthesis in the title being entirely superfluous, an interesting thing for me is the age gap. Aretha was 44, George was 23. If we transpose that to 2017, that’d be like Liam or Niall out of One Direction doing a duet with Geri Halliwell. There aren’t many music heavyweights who are 44 now. The only other ones are Vanessa Paradis, Liam Gallagher, and Eminem.
