Everything I Own by Boy George was number one in the UK thirty years ago. I’ve never been keen on the original Bread version, or the Ken Boothe one (the best of the three, and the one George is covering) and this one is worse.

I think it’s partly because the chorus is illogical and I can’t get past that. You would give up all of your possessions, the place where you live, and your life itself? Just to have someone back again? So, this “someone” would actually be back with you, a dead homeless person?
